Tone on Tone

Good Morning all,
Hope this find you all well.
Todays card is for stamping sisters in christ challenge 85. check out their blog here. http://stampinsistersinchrist.blogspot.com/

Onto the card. You had to use Tone on tone with your card so same colour background as stamps etc.
so it just called distress inks for me.
I just happened to make this postcard/card at a craft class on staurday so fitted perfectly in with the theme.

I used chipped sapphire as the colour, covering a piece of cream card with the blending foam. Sticking a piece of post it note over a area to mask for the frame. Then using a piece of cotton wool ball put more post it notes round the edge ot the frame and using the cotton wool blended more distress ink round the edge.
Stamped the images with creative expressions Bird u Mount stamps.
Dryed off with a heat gun then useing a embossing pad and clear embossing powder added the swirls and some random leaves over the front and embossed with heat gun.
on the back added a stamp and sentiment the card then sits on a stand cut in cream card. I was very happy with my efforts, the bird cage didnt come out well, but in a class you cant do again, needless to say brought the things I needed to make more at home.
Thank you for looking in my blog today.
Blessings
Karen
